How Stratix Forged Wheels Are Made: Our Global Forged and American Forged Programs

  • October 20, 2026

Ask most wheel brands where their wheels are made and you'll get a vague answer, a stock photo of a factory, or a quiet change of subject. In an industry full of rebadged catalog wheels with a new logo on the center cap, it's fair to be skeptical.

We'd rather just tell you. Stratix is a veteran-owned, family-operated company built by a family with more than 35 years of military service, and we believe you should know exactly what you're paying for. Here's where and how Stratix forged wheels are made, why we offer two manufacturing pathways, and how every wheel is held to the same standard no matter where it's built.

Two Manufacturing Pathways, One Standard

Every Stratix wheel is built to order through one of two manufacturing pathways. Both follow the same engineering principles, the same specifications, and the same verification process. The difference is where your wheels are forged and machined.

Global Forged Program: Our ISO 9001 Certified Facility in Taiwan

Wheels in our Global Forged Program are produced at our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility in Taiwan, built to precise Stratix specifications, tolerances, and design intent. These aren't catalog wheels with our logo added. They're our designs, made to our numbers, for your specific vehicle.

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. A certified facility has to document its processes, control them, and pass regular audits by an independent registrar. That's a big part of how consistency is maintained from one wheel to the next and from one set to the next.

American Forged Program: Built In House in California

Our American Forged Program is handled entirely in house in California, from raw billet to final machining. Every step happens domestically, in a controlled production environment, for clients who want their wheels made in America and value manufacturing origin as much as the finished result.

Why We Offer Both Pathways

We built Stratix around one idea: you shouldn't have to choose between a fair price and a wheel you can trust.

Our Global Forged Program lets us offer competitive pricing with absolutely no compromise. You get the same Stratix designs, the same aerospace-grade 6061-T6 forged aluminum, the same engineering, and the same final verification, at a price that makes a true custom forged set more attainable.

Our American Forged Program exists for those who truly value origin above all else. If American manufacturing matters to you, and you want your wheels made in the USA from start to finish, this is the pathway built for you.

Two pathways. One standard. The choice is yours.

Same Quality. Same Authenticity. Same Verification.

How Every Stratix Wheel Is Made

Whichever pathway you choose, your wheels follow the same path from idea to install.

1. Digital design and engineering

Every Stratix wheel starts in CAD. Before any metal is touched, the design is run through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), a computer simulation that shows how the wheel will handle real-world loads and where stress concentrates. That lets our team refine spoke shapes and remove weight in the right places without compromising structural integrity. Once your order is placed, we also review your design, size, finish, and vehicle specs to make sure everything is configured correctly for your build.

2. Material and forging

Each wheel begins as aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum. Through true forging, heated aluminum is compressed under extreme pressure into a dense blank. That process eliminates porosity and realigns the grain of the metal to follow the wheel's natural load paths, adding strength exactly where it's needed. The barrel is then refined with a spin-forging process that increases radial strength while reducing weight.

Forged blanks: the dense, grain-aligned starting point for every wheel.

3. CNC machining

The forged blank is precision-turned and milled into your wheel's final design: face profile, spoke shape, depth, and concavity. Up to 70% of the original material is removed during this stage, which is how a solid forged blank becomes a wheel that's both light and strong.

4. Detail machining

Next comes the fine work. Each wheel is machined for its bolt pattern, center bore, hardware, surface details, and final specifications so it fits your vehicle exactly as engineered.

5. Custom finishing

Your selected finish is applied through painting, powder coating, brushing, polishing, or other specialty processes. Choose from our standard and premium finishes, or dream up a color and we'll produce it. See every option on our finishes page.

6. Final verification in Colorado

This is the step that ties both pathways together. No matter where a wheel is manufactured, every Stratix wheel comes through our Colorado facility for final inspection, dimensional verification, and quality control. We check dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and exact fitment specifications. Only after a set passes that final evaluation is it approved, packaged, and shipped to you.

What Never Changes, No Matter the Origin

  • Stratix designs and engineering. Every wheel is designed by our team and validated with FEA before production.
  • The same material. Aerospace-grade 6061-T6 forged aluminum.
  • The same specifications. Built to Stratix tolerances and your vehicle's exact fitment.
  • The same standards. Stratix wheels are engineered to meet TÜV, SAE, JWL, and VIA standards.
  • The same verification. Every set is inspected at our Colorado facility before it ships.
  • The same warranty. Our Forge the Standard – For Life™ Lifetime Structural Warranty and 5-Year Finish Warranty.

Which Pathway Is Right for You?

  • Choose the Global Forged Program if you want a true custom forged Stratix wheel at a competitive price, built at our ISO 9001 certified facility in Taiwan with absolutely no compromise on material, engineering, or verification.
  • Choose the American Forged Program if origin matters most to you and you want your wheels made in house in California, from raw billet to final machining.

Not sure? That's what your consultation is for. We'll walk through your build, your priorities, your budget, and your timeline, and help you choose the pathway that fits.

Questions to Ask Any Forged Wheel Brand

Transparency shouldn't be a selling point. It should be the baseline. Whether you buy from us or someone else, these are fair questions to ask before you commit to a set of custom forged wheels:

  1. Who designs the wheel, and is it validated with engineering analysis like FEA?
  2. Where is it forged and machined, and is that facility certified?
  3. What alloy and temper is it made from?
  4. Who inspects the finished wheels before they ship, and what do they check?
  5. How long is the structural warranty, and who stands behind it?

If a brand can't answer those clearly, that tells you something.

Built to Order — For You

Every Stratix set is 100% built to order. Our current timeline from design to doorstep is 7–9 weeks, with a guaranteed lead time of 8–12 weeks, and your consultation will confirm the timeline for the pathway you choose. Active duty military, veterans, and first responders save 10% through the Stratix Service Program.

No matter which pathway you choose, you'll always get the best wheels from Stratix Forged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Stratix wheels made?

Stratix offers two manufacturing pathways. Global Forged Program wheels are produced at our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility in Taiwan. American Forged Program wheels are made in house in California, from raw billet to final machining. Every wheel from either pathway receives final inspection and verification at our Colorado facility before it ships.

Is the Global Forged Program lower quality than the American Forged Program?

No. Both pathways use the same Stratix designs, the same 6061-T6 forged aluminum, the same specifications, the same final verification in Colorado, and the same lifetime structural warranty. The difference is origin, not the standard the wheel is held to.

Why does Stratix offer two manufacturing pathways?

Our Global Forged Program lets us offer competitive pricing with absolutely no compromise on quality. Our American Forged Program is for clients who truly value American origin above all else.

What does ISO 9001 certified mean?

ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems. A certified facility must document and control its processes and pass regular audits by an independent certification body, which helps ensure consistent quality from part to part.

Can I choose which pathway my wheels are made in?

Yes. Let us know your preference during your consultation, and we'll walk you through how it affects your build.

How long does it take to get my wheels?

Our current timeline from design to doorstep is 7–9 weeks, with a guaranteed lead time of 8–12 weeks.
